Now that I have lost at least half of you let’s chat in our private group and let you in on some secrets.
Unless you follow someone’s blog regularly for years, you really don’t know them. It’s hard to catch up once you discover a blog that you like. I try to keep my blog posts simple and to the point. When I read for information, I don’t want all sorts of stories or memories explained. I simply want the information I’m searching for, so I tend to skip over the personal stories at the beginning. I write my blog posts with that in mind. In real life, I can get quite wordy. I even get wordy in my posts, sometimes. In steps my husband. He edits them for me, taking out the redundancies, rabbit trails, and unnecessary facts, telling me if it needs to be cut into two –or even four– separate posts. I have a tendency to cover a few too many related subjects in one post when an idea is bursting. Phew! See what I mean?!
So, in the spirit of getting to know me, a little more personally, and to fill in some blog posts, I’ve decided to answer questions in a monthly post. Then, once the blog gets going, there will be a nice section with get-to-know-me questions answered. As we get further along, I may even have my husband or children answer some. Then, of course, it will be the get-to-know-US! Until then, and without further ado, here is the first list of Q&As.
This first time around will be This or That questions, most of which my middle daughter came up with:
Coke or Pepsi?
Water! We are a Pepsi household, however, I don’t drink pop, myself (Excuse my midwestern terminology if you call it soda or cola).
Cake or Pie?
Pumpkin Pie! I like both, but love pumpkin pie! For my birthday, instead of a birthday cake, I blew out my candles on a pumpkin pie!
InstaGram or SnapChat?
I use them both, but actually find InstaGram more fun and less annoying!
Driving or Flying?
Driving! I don’t like flying. I love road trips.
Apple Juice or Orange Juice?
Cranberry Juice! The other two make me sick to my stomach.
Basketball or Baseball?
Basketball! Though, I don’t watch it on TV. I will watch either sport live, in person and enjoy doing so. I enjoy shooting baskets and “trying” to play basketball with my kids.
Pants or Dress?
Both. I love the idea of wearing dresses, but in winter I just can’t do it, and wear pants.
Gold or Silver jewelry?
Gold. I like the look. I have some silver jewelry, but I find I just don’t wear it as often, unless I’m wearing a gray shirt. Otherwise, I lean towards the gold. I recently learned that like certain clothing colors, gold and silver clothing can compliment skin tones. I think that may be why I prefer gold.
